À l'aide de l'aminophylline avec la raNITIdine peut augmenter les effets de l'aminophylline. Contactez votre médecin si vous ressentez des nausées, des vomissements, l'insomnie, des tremblements, de l'agitation, des battements de cœur irréguliers, et la saisie (convulsions). Si votre médecin vous a prescrit ces médicaments en même temps, vous mai besoin d'un ajustement de dose ou des test à utiliser en toute sécurité les deux médicaments. MONITEUR: Cimétidine peut augmenter les concentrations plasmatiques de la théophylline par autant de 70%. Le mécanisme est lié à l'inhibition de la foie des enzymes CYP450 responsable du métabolisme de la théophylline. Bien que des études contrôlées n'ont pas démontré une interaction avec la ranitidine, famotidine, ou nizatidine, et ils n'ont pas l'enzyme propriétés d'inhibition, on a signalé de rares cas, des rapports de l'augmentation des concentrations de théophylline et/ou de la toxicité de ces agents. Les Patients atteints de maladie pulmonaire obstructive chronique, une insuffisance cardiaque congestive ou de cirrhose peuvent avoir des ralentissement de la clairance de la théophylline taux; par conséquent, ils peuvent être à un plus grand risque de développer la théophylline toxicité.
